The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has demolished approximately 40 structures on Mohammed Ali Road in Mumbai, following similar actions by the Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation in Haidary Chowk on Mira Road. The Mira Road demolitions occurred in an area where clashes erupted between two groups on Sunday night.

BMC officials stated that the structures on Mohammed Ali Road were illegal, and the demolition aimed to clear encroachments from footpaths. Mumbai Police have issued a directive to social media admins, urging them not to share jokes or videos related to the clashes during the Ram Temple pran pratishtha.

Since the scuffle on January 21, thirteen people have been arrested, and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has assured strict action against those disrupting law and order. BJP MLA Nitesh Rane criticized the Mira Bhayandar Vasai Virar Police for alleged inaction, claiming it has adversely affected the image of Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the state government.
